PILEA PEPEROMIODES (CHINESE MONEY PLANT) in 13/14 cm pot
The Pilea peperomiodes is native to China and is commonly called the Chinese Money Plant, Pancake Plant, Missionary Plant or UFO Plant.
The Chinese Money Plant is an erect, succulent evergreen perennial. It has attractive bright green pancake-shaped leaves (hence why it is sometimes called Pancake Plant) balancing on long slender stems. The branch axis is greenish to dark brown.
Like most indoor plants, the Chinese Money Plant doesn’t like direct hot sunlight, so position in your home where it will receive filtered light. For even growth, turn your Chinese Money Plant weekly.
The Chinese Money Plant prefers well-draining soil; a pot with drainage holes is important. Allow the top layer of soil to dry between waterings. If your plant starts to droop, this is a sign that it needs a water. Remember to adjust your watering for the different seasons.
